MindWebs 2008!

Students read informational texts on the same topic, picked the best resource and mind mapped it! Projects that earned an A were detailed, included many relevant pieces of information, put ideas in their own words (paraphrased text - no plagiarizing!!), were neatly done, and were colorful.

Below are some of the pictures I took as students presented their projects. Click on an image to view full size.

This student took the concept of 3-D to heart! Wow!!

Those are REAL dog bones! Very creative!

This student color coded facts! Great note taking technique!

Update 2012:  Please keep in mind, not all of the projects earned As.  These projects represent a wide variety of grades based on student effort, accuracy, detail and quality of work.

Here are some more projects from 2005 to get ideas from.  Please keep in mind these projects were done in conjunction with a written persuasive report comparing two books and showcase about 1/3 of the total book project at that time.

NEW Creature Features!

Students have worked long and hard to create their very own Creature Features demonstrating their mastery of plural and singular nouns!

Yikes! Our scanned files were "misplaced"!! Will see if I can't recover them from the laptop.
